Michael has been Executive Director of University of Michigan Hillel since 1980 (when he was 11 years old). In addition to suffocating by degrees at Brandeis, Harvard, The Hebrew University, Merkaz ha-Rav Kook in Jerusalem and U-M (where he also taught history of Judaism for several years), he and his wife Ruth were among the founders of the Havurat Shalom community in Boston. There is now a 2nd generation of Michigan students lining up at the CCRB racquetball courts to avenge the honor of their parents who Michael used to beat when they were students here. (Please email him if you would like to take a number.)
