Meal Plans 13 Meal Plan The kosher 13 meal plan is one meal plan choice for students living in residence halls. This plan is for students who wish to eat only at Hillel, and who do not want to eat at the University cafeterias. Select the kosher plan on the University Housing website, and then transfer that plan to Hillel by paying the board portion of your University Housing charges to Hillel and signing a Kosher Meal Plan contract. You will receive a rebate from the University of Michigan on a pro-rated basis, effective the date of this contract, after the University has received a copy. The cost per semester is $1836 and must be paid within the first month of each semester. This is identical in cost to the University’s meal plan. Checks should be written payable to University of Michigan Hillel and sent with this contract to: U-M Hillel, 1429 Hill Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. We also accept Visa and MasterCard; space is provided at the bottom of this contract if you prefer this payment option. You may make changes in your meal plan choice as follows: fall term modifications may be made through September 30, 2010, winter term modifications may be made through January 31, 2011. You must always be on either the University's meal plan or Hillel's meal plan while you live in a residence hall. Meal plan contracts that are signed in the fall will automatically continue through winter term, unless changed by contract. Meals are not transferable to other people. Purchasing individual meals with Blue Bucks Whether or not you live in a residence hall, you may purchase individual meals at Hillel with Blue Bucks, which are purchased on the University Housing website. You can swipe your student ID card at Hillel, and the appropriate amount of Blue Bucks will be deducted from your card.
